Welcome to SAA at WSU News March 15, 2007 SAA is happy to announce that Louis Jones, Certified Archivist at the Reuther Library and Archives of Labor Affairs, will be giving a workshop on archival careers on Monday, March 26. More information about Mr. Jones and his presentation is available on the Calendar. The next SAA meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 20. Additional information about the meeting is available on the Meeting Agenda. Minutes from the February 26 meeting are also available on the Meeting Agenda. Don't forget to buy a clever SAA t-shirt (10$) or hoodie (25$)! Proceeds will help to fund future SAA activities and a scholarship for archival students at Wayne State University. February 16, 2007 Please join us in welcoming SAA national president Elizabeth Adkins to the Reuther Library on Thursday, February 22, 2007. Ms. Adkins will be speaking on the future of archives. January 19, 2007 Welcome to a a new year with the Society of American Archivists at Wayne State University! We hope you can join us as we jump into another busy and exciting year. SAA and the Reuther Library are pleased to announce that Elizabeth Adkins will be speaking at the Reuther Archives of Labor and Urban Affairs on February 22. Ms. Adkins is the President of the national Society of American Archivists and is also the Director of Global Information Management at Ford Motor Company. SAA will hold its first meeting of the year on Wednesday, January 31 at 4 p.m. More information about the meeting is available on the Meeting Agenda. On February 5 SAA and the Library and Information Science Program are hosting a Webinar on PDF Preservation. The event will be a live Web broadcast of a seminar presented by the national Society of American Archivists. All those interested in electronic records preservation are welcome and encouraged to attend. More information is available on the Events Calendar. Finally, SAA is continuing its campaign to sell clever t-shirts to the archivally-minded.
